Cada time joga 56 jogos durante a temporada regular, (4 contra times de uma mesma divisão, e 2 contra todos os outros times). Os play-offs para a temporada 2009 - 2010 será igual na NHL, 2 conferencias, e os 8 melhores de cada avançam para os playoffs, mas diferente do Play-off da NHL, na KHL a quarta de final de conferencia (1 rodada) é melhor de 5 jogos, já os outros são melhor de 7 até o Gagarin Cup que é a grande final.

The league stops as the Euro Hockey Tour begins

After two months of KHL Atlant and Salavat Yulaev keep on dominating the tables with respectively fifty-six and fifty-one points each. Both teams won their last game: Atlant, who's playing without its veteran Albert Leschev, shut out Amur Khabarovsk 3-0 with goals coming from Jan Bulis, Aleksandr Korolyuk and Esa Pirnes, while Salavat got the best of the discussed Vityaz Chekhov 5-3. The Bashkirs have completed an impressive comeback after being down 1-3 after the goals by Vorobiev, Klimenko, Berdnikov and Boichenko. A second period goal by the usual suspect Aleksandr Perezhogin shacked things up for the reigning champions, who eventually scored other three goals to secure yet another win, thanks to the markers by Chernov, Radulov and again Perezhogin.

Only three points behind Salavat, and with a game less, we can find Ak Bars Kazan, Chernyshev Division's leader. After a slow start, that had its peak in the heavy defeat against Atlant in early October, the team led by Bilyaletdinov won eight of their last nine matches, surrendering only to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. Let’s remember that they had to renounce for some games to the team’s captain Alexey Morozov because of a knee injury that he suffered after a collision with the Canadian goalkeeper Ray Emery.

The Tatarstan city’s team is followed in the standings by last year’s runner ups and Kharlamov Division's top seed, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, who have found a very reliable goalkeeper in Georgy Gelashvili, but the standings feature six teams from the forty-four points of the fourth seeded, as said Lokomotiv, to the thirty-nine of the tenth, Spartak Moscow, who's one point only behind Tarasov Division sof CSKA Moscow. Then again only ten points separate the team placed in eleventh position, Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, from the seventeenth, HC MVD. The table is completed by Dinamo Minsk and Khimik Voskresensk, tied at twenty points, and Vityaz Chekhov, who suffered from a forfeit defeat 0-5 in the October 27th game against Traktor Chelyabinsk as they dressed five foreigners against the four admitted by the rules.

Acho que sim. Os jogos da KHL geralmente aparecem com 450, 400, etc.
